Who We Are
WORI is a Ugandan women non-profit organization that has been committed to promoting the rights and empowerment of women and youth in the region for over a decade. Our mission is to empower women and youth to achieve their full potential by providing them with access to education, health care, economic opportunities, and leadership training.
Founded in 2007 by 3 passionate Ugandan women who recognized the urgent need for a platform to address the inequality and discrimination faced by women and youth in their communities, WORI has since grown to become a leading advocate for gender equality and women’s rights in the region. Our work is driven by the belief that every woman and youth has the right to live a life free from violence, poverty, and discrimination.
We work tirelessly to achieve our goals by partnering with local communities, organizations, and government agencies to create sustainable and effective solutions to the challenges facing women and youth. Our programs and initiatives are designed to empower women and youth with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to lead healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.
